"Missing Girls" in Rural China

Out of the Shadows

Tuesday, Mar. 31, 4 p.m. - Gibble Auditorium. Dr. John J. Kennedy will discuss Family Planning and Identifying the “Missing Girls” in Rural China, where the sex ratio at birth has a national average of 118.5 boys for every 100 girls. Dr. Kennedy will help us understand the complex issues related to gender imbalance in rural China.

Erasing the hate

11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1 - Gibble Auditorium. As a Holocaust and concentration camp survivor, Philip Gans has tasted and felt what hate can do to people. Gans will share his story to the college community. The story isn’t an easy one, but Gans continues to share it.

Dr. Donald B. Kraybill to speak at SCAD

Monday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. - Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. Kraybill presents "The Riddle of Amish Culture." A book signing will follow. Tickets are free of cost and may be ordered by calling the SCAD ticket hotline at (717)-361-4771. Open to the public.
