Why Study Forestry and Environmental Management at E-town?

You'll get the best of a big school and a small school in the same program.

The Forestry and Environmental Management programs provide the best of two institutions: Elizabethtown College and Duke University. In the first three years you'll experience the best of the liberal arts in our core curriculum while building the foundation of one of three areas of study (biology, business, political science). At Duke you'll build on that strong foundation with the technical skills and professional experience required in today's demanding workplace. Their office of Career Services will then work with you to help you find your ideal career opportunity.

You'll learn in outstanding facilities across two campuses

While at Elizabethtown, you'll take advantage of our tremendous facilities including the High Library, Hoover Center for Business, and the Masters Center for Science, Mathematics and Engineering. The Nicholas School for the Environment is located in the heart of the Duke University Campus in Durham, NC. The Nicholas School's on-campus resources are complimented by the nearly 8,000 acre Duke Forest and the Duke University Marine Laboratory with its research vessels R/V Cape Hatteras and R/V Susan Hudson.

You'll have a successful, sustainable career.

As a graduate of this cooperative Forestry and Environmental Management program between Elizabethtown College and Duke, you'll join network of alumni across the country in the public and private sector. Read about their careers in the Nicholas School Insider.
