"I try to learn about a person as an individual—their interests, struggles, strengths, and goals— before thinking about how to solve problems, address a situation, or lead, mentor, and support them. I think understanding people on an individual level is the most important part of being an effective leader, and I try to use this approach to make the world a better place!"

"As a future teacher, I will try to be a positive leader for my students every day. I will teach them not only academics, but how to be a respectful and involved citizen in our school and global community. I use my love for teaching and leading to volunteer at an after-school program at my church where I strive to be a positive role model for the students that attend."
