Graduate Tuition Financial Aid
Graduate tuition rates vary by program. Tuition is posted on each program page. Students are required to submit payment for tuition in full prior to the beginning of the session. Payment may be made online through Elizabethtown College CASHNet, by credit card (a convenience fee will be charged), ACH/Electronic Check (No additional fees), cash (accepted at the Business Office), or check or money order, made payable to Elizabethtown College (mailed to the Business Office or delivered in person at the sgps Elizabethtown College office or York office).

Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies 8-week accelerated graduate courses, offered both online and in the classroom are eligible for need-based financial aid in the form of Federal Direct Loans and scholarships.
Financial aid is calculated upon actual registered credits. It is imperative for students to plan ahead and register for all semester credits early on in the process.

All steps should be completed prior to starting classes:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Complete and submit, by mail or email, the Employer Educational Assistance Verification Form.

Enrollment Eligibility for Financial Aid
The 8-week graduate sessions are offered in "mini-terms" which comprise a semester. Because of this, the determination of part-time status and full-time status is different than traditional degree programs that operate on a fall/spring semester schedule. Graduate enrollment levels are determined by combining the credits taken in two separate 8-week sessions in both fall, spring, and summer.
Full-time status is a student taking 6 or more credits within the semester.
Part-time status is a student taking at least 3 credits per semester.
The website www.studentaid.gov has an abundance of information for students regarding all aspects of using federal aid and offers a “summary” page for students to get a snapshot in one place to view their borrowing history and lender information and much more.
At www.studentaid.gov, students can:
- view their federal student aid history, including loan detail, and overpayment detail;
- get their loan servicer’s contact information;
- download their federal student aid history into a text file using the MyData Download function.
Employer Tuition Reimbursement
Your employer might help offset the cost of your education; talk to your human resources department or consult your employee handbook for information about tuition reimbursement or assistance programs.
Tuition Deferment Program
Elizabethtown College offers a tuition deferment plan for students using their employer’s reimbursement. Typically the employer requires your course to be completed with a final grade recorded prior to reimbursing the employee. Rather than requiring payment for the course upfront, students can enroll in the deferment program to defer payment for 30 days after the date of the last class in each 8-week session.

Scholarships for Adult Learners
The Michele A. and Stephen K. Fries Continuing and Professional Studies Scholarship
Also known as The Fries Fund Scholarship, it is provided to current SGPS students showing financial need, who are age 23 or older, living and working in Lancaster County, and enrolled as a Business major. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
