Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Peace Education (M.Ed.)
Designed for certified educators (PK-12), this program provides a graduate-level qualification in curriculum and instruction with a focus on teaching for peace. The course includes teaching on issues of social justice, student rights, conflict resolution, community capacity, culturally responsive methods, and student/teacher advocacy, with an emphasis on curriculum and peace theories with practical applications for the classroom environment.
Master of Education in Special Education (M.Ed.) - Online
Designed for working, in-service teachers, the Master of Education in Special Education affords candidates a complex understanding of educational theory, an awareness and adherence to professional ethics, a commitment to professional development, and the ability to establish and maintain an equitable and purposeful learning environment for all students. Candidates may select from either K-8 or 7-12 certification for the state of Pennsylvania.
Please Note: Our 4+1 programs require students to be currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program from Elizabethtown College, with direct continuation into the Masters-level course. These are not stand-alone Masters programs.
Our Master of Science in Occupational Therapy is open to currently enrolled Elizabethtown College students who are currently completing their Bachelor of Science in Health and Occupation. Eligible students will progress into the Master's course upon successful completion of their Bachelor's degree.
The Master's in Public Policy (MPP) program is open to students currently enrolled at Elizabethtown College. The course prepares students for careers in public service, through an emphasis on data interpretation, evaluation of policy alternatives and development of analytical skills.
Students currently enrolled in our Department of Education are eligible to apply for the accelerated Master's program in Special Education. Students will complete their Bachelor's degree in four years, with eligible students proceeding directly into a fifth year to complete the Master's course.
