Dedicated Nursing Advisors
Students are assigned upon admission to a faculty nursing advisor. Your nursing advisor will reach out to students prior to the start of your first course and then monthly thereafter. The goal is to provide students with support to ensure that you have the tools you need to be successful in our program! If you feel that monthly meetings are insufficient to supporting your academic goals and needs, please reach out to your advisor to create a new plan that meets your needs. If you have not heard from your advisor, reach out to nursing@etown.edu.
APA Style and Formatting Guides
Academic writing has its own standards and guidelines that you will be expected to conform to in all of your writing unless otherwise indicated by your facilitator. SCPS requires that all programs use guidelines from APA. For further information on APA style and academic writing standards, consult Purdue Owl (owl.english.purdue.edu) and APA Style (apastyle.org). Also, in each nursing Canvas course, students can find APA Quick Guides to ease your APA pains!
