Still Deciding?

At Elizabethtown, we don't expect that you have mapped out your entire life. In fact, first-year students do not declare majors. Although some students indicate intended majors for scheduling purposes, we encourage you to explore your options.

Being uncertain or undecided does not handicap you. Our wide range of liberal arts courses allows you to work toward graduation and still try out classes in a variety of areas. Along the way, helpful people will aid you in your search for an educational focus and your eventual selection of a major.

You Have Time to Explore

Don't have life all figured out? If you want to consider all the possibilities, experiment, and discover what is available, you are not alone. Most first-year college students change their mind -- even those who think they know -- at least once on their way to their bachelor's degree.

At E-town, you will be encouraged to experience a variety of disciplines. Working closely with faculty, you will receive the advice and individual attention you need to tailor your education to your personal interests and professional goals.

Grow and Develop at Elizabethtown

Because college isn't just about books, classes, and tests, E-town provides a rich environment for personal growth and change.

Summer and fall orientations help you build realistic expectations about college life. Your first year of study gives you the opportunity for self-assessment. During your sophmore year, you can work with faculty and counselors to develop tentative career goals. The junior year provides opportunity for you to test your choices. By the time you are a senior, you will be completing your graduation requirements and looking toward the world of work and/or graduate school.
