- Film Screening: Real Women Have Curves: Saturday, September 25, 7:00pm, Esbenshade Gibble Auditorium : In celebration of National Hispanic-Latinx Heritage Month, we are screening the critically acclaimed 2002 indie comedy-drama Real Women Have Curves in Gibble Auditorium. This coming of age story is about a young Mexican-American woman who clashes with her mother as she tries to find herself. This screening is free and open to the public.

StoryCorps’ mission is “to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.” Grab a friend, classmate, coworker, or mentor and visit the library’s IDEA Lab to check out the interviews that Professor Suzy Biever-Grodzinski’s EN 100 students submitted to StoryCorps in Fall 2020. Then use the StoryCorps prompts and the library’s One Button Studio to capture your thoughts, memories, insights, and experiences in your own interviews!
