Sophmore Season: Was named to the All-Conference Second Team as a shortstop. ust like last season, Matt started every game of the season. He had a .308 batting average and a .935 fielding percentage and tallied 125 assists.
Freshman Season: Played and started every game at shortstop as a freshman. Went 6-8 in stolen base attempts and batted .237 in 131 at bats. More importantly were his 127 assists and a .930 fielding percentage.
High School: Matt lettered all four years of high school and earned the Coach's Award as a senior.
