Mission Statement
The mission of Elizabethtown College’s Computer Science Department is to continually build an environment that promotes a holistic approach to theory and implementation with respect to computer hardware and software. Our goal is to encourage innovative thinking, scholarship, ethical behavior, and a life-long learning commitment from our students. The Department supports this mission by integrating theory and practice into its course offerings. Our intent is to provide our students with a solid theoretical foundation from which they will be able to understand and/or develop future innovations in the computing field. Students may tailor their program of courses and final research project to fit their specific interests.
