PARTNERS MAKE

A DIFFERENCE

Scholarships

Scholarship aid is an extremely important part of Elizabethtown College’s mission. We are committed to providing scholarship opportunities so that the challenge of affording an education at the College does not stand in the way of students enrolling here.

A Commitment to Aid

During the 2007-2008 school year, the College provided its students with $21,290,040 in need-based and merit-based aid. For the College, this accounts for nearly thirty percent of our annual budget. For our students, this means that the College provides an average student aid package of $11,981 per student.

Aid to Ninety-two Percent of Our Students

Ninety-two percent of the College’s students received aid from the College during the 2007-2008 school year. Fifty-three percent received aid based on need and sixty-eight percent received aid based on merit. Many of our students received both.

Endowed Scholarships

In addition, the College provides aid through 109 endowed scholarships. Thanks to the partners who contribute to them, these scholarship funds provide additional support to our students.

Recognized for Value

Because of this commitment to scholarship aid, the College is listed in US News and World Report’s America’s Best Colleges as the second best value of baccalaureate colleges in the North.

Partners Make A Difference

The College needs support for scholarship aid now more than ever before.

We welcome your support. And we ask you to join us as we make investments so that we can provide that aid to our students.

Join us as a partner in our mission to Educate for Service. You can make a difference.

“Without the financial help provided to me through grants, scholarships and generous donors, my dream may have never been realized. Since I do not come from a wealthy family, I would have been unable to afford such a great college.”
