Guidelines:

  • Only students who currently have a 3.5 or higher GPA may contract a course.
  • Completed and signed contracts are due no later than the Add Deadline for the semester the student is enrolled in the class.
  • Contracts are not awarded retroactively
  • Contracts do not earn honors credit if the student earns lower than a B for the course.
  • Students can receive no more than 4 credits for a contracted course.
  • The honors credit is posted on the student's transcript after evaluations by both the student and professor are complete and the grade has been posted.
  • Only one Honors Contract (with a maximum of 4 credits) may count toward the 24 credit hours required to complete the Honors Program. Students are encouraged to take additional Honors Contracts, but such courses will not count toward the program’s graduation requirements.
  • Students may access the contract forms and instructions in the Honors Program public directory on the college network T-Drive.
