READ CAREFULLY BEFORE TAKING THE ONLINE PLACEMENT EXAM

By taking the Online Exam you acknowledge that you have read the following instructions

1.   If you have had TWO or more years of Spanish/French/German in high school, you cannot register in the 111 level of the language you took, except under special circumstances (you will be asked to provide documentation). Your high school records (language courses) will be reviewed.

2.   If you have had two or more years of prior Spanish/French/German instruction you have two options:
  1. Take the placement exam and register in the Spanish/French/German course you placed into (except SP 111/FR 111/GR 111 respectively) or
  2.  Register in the 111 level of a different language (For example, if you had 2 or more years of Spanish in high school, you can take GR 111 or FR 111, but not SP 111)
3.   You can take the Online Placement Test only ONCE. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. If you experience computer problems, you should sign in with the same ID number that you used the first time, and you will be taken to the last page you completed before stopping.
  •  You cannot register in a level lower than the one you placed into.
4.   You are subject to the Elizabethtown Integrity Pledge when taking this test. It is important that you DO YOUR BEST on this exam. If it is evident that you have intentionally done poorly on the test in order to place at a level lower than your actual level, you may face disciplinary actions for violating the Integrity Pledge.

5.   If you place in SP 112 (FR112/GR112) or above and enroll in SP 111 (or FR 111/GR 111 respectively), you will be removed from that class and will not receive credit for it.
