The Elizabethtown College Office of Research and Planning

The Office of Research and Planning is responsible for the institution-wide coordination of research (institutional research and external research) and planning at the college, including the production of the annual Fact Book and maintenance of Institutional Dashboard Indicators. We manage all external surveys and studies related to institutional assessment. Consistent with good practice, the Office administers the Institutional Assessment Plan and assists college departments in utilizing the results of assessment research to improve performance toward objectives. We also conduct market research and environmental scanning for planning purposes and use research data/information to stimulate effective planning. In close collaboration with the Office of the Provost and the Development Office, the Office of Research and Planning has responsibility for the leadership and advancement of the research mission for Elizabethtown College.

The Office is organized to accomplish three primary functions:

Institutional Research and Planning - coordinating external/internal reporting and informing decision-making processes

Institutional Assessment - coordinating all institutional assessment activities and promoting the use of assessment results to inform decisions relating to institutional effectiveness and efficiency

Sponsored Research and Programmatic Grants and Contracts - supporting and
administering externally funded research/programmatic grants and contracts
