| The Department of Psychology offers students a solid training in the various subfields of of psychology, including child and adult development, social influences on behavior, personality, human cognition, sensation and perception, neuropsychology, abnormal behavior and clinical psychology. In addition to traditional coursework, students complete indepedent research and are encouraged to take advantage of the variety of available internship opportunities. Small class sizes mean faculty are able to devote individualized attention to insure that students meet their own learning needs. Students are encouraged to become active participants in the learning process and develop partnerships with classmates so they may support and learn from each other.
Through their experiences in and out of the classroom, our students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to for success after graduation. Students typically enter the workforce in service or business settings or continue their education through graduate studies. |
