Residential students at Elizabethtown College select housing for the upcoming school year by participating in a lottery system. Each student is assigned a lottery number based on his/her total number of credits. The closer you are to graduating, the more options you will have available to you.

Random lottery numbers are computer generated based on your class standing, with number 1 being first to select housing, number 2 is second to select, and so on.

The following distinctions are used:

Current seniors - 90 credits and above

Current juniors - 60 to 89.9 credits

Current sophomores - 30 to 59.9 credits

Current freshman - 0 to 29.9 credits

Bring your college ID card and any proxy information that you will need if selecting for someone else. The lottery numbers are on yellow cards. Do not lose them!

Proxy Letters If you are selecting housing for someone else, you will need written permission and a copy of that person’s ID card to do so.

A copy of this proxy should also be on file in the Office of Residence Life, BSC 201.
