Residence Halls

     

Brinser Hall
(1965)

David E. & Sadie M. Brinser Residence Hall  houses 109 male and female residents with an average of 20 students per floor community. All rooms have a unique "L" shape, carpeted floors and central heating and air conditioning systems. Laundry facilities and vending machines are located within the residence hall.  There are four suites, each with a private bath and kitchen.

     

Founders Residence Hall (1971)

Founders consists of four-wings (A,B,C,D); each dedicated to four founders. The building houses 318 students, making it our largest residence hall. This air-conditioned, coed residence hall offers a unique, living environment. Each floor is the equivalent of a small community, consisting of bathrooms and lounge areas designed to accommodate eight students. A large lounge area connects the wings.  The Global Awareness Community is located on Founders A-1 and Founders C-Wing is home to the Simple living Learning Community and the Honors Residential Community. 

      

Elizabeth Myer Residence Hall (1957)

Myer overlooks the Dell, houses 136 women with an average of 30 students per floor community. Myer has a newly renovated main lounge area.  It is home to the Expression Community on the first floor.

   

H.K. Ober Residence Hall
(1960)

Ober houses 202 students. It is divided into two wings. Each floor community averages 29 students and has 12 double occupancy rooms, one single room, one suite for four students and a lounge. The rooms have tile floors. The two wings are connected by a main lounge. A Wellness/Substance Free community is located in Ober Hall.

   

B. Mary Royer Residence Hall
(1962)

Royer accommodates 125 men and women, with an average of 21 students per hall. The second Floor is home to the Partners in Engineering (PiE) Hall. On the first floor there is a newly renovated kitchen and a main lounge. 



Schlosser Residence Hall (1965)

Schlosser houses a total of 206 residents with an average of 42 students per floor. All rooms and hallways in this building are carpeted. All floors have a kitchenette and a lounge. There is a main lounge on the first floor, which contains a television, pool table, Ping-Pong table and vending machines. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor. An Academic Success/Quiet Study community and a Wellness/Substance Free community are located in Schlosser Hall

 

Independent Living Facilities

Elizabethtown College offers two independent living environments where students learn to manage their activities of daily living in a self-governing environment. These facilities are equipped with fully furnished living and dining areas, double occupancy bedrooms, full bath, laundry facilities and vending.

The V. Lester Schreiber Quadrangle was opened in 1992. This complex of townhouses accommodates 128 men and women. The furnished apartments open to a courtyard and commons building, available for quiet studying or social functions. The residents are expected to participate in the Quads Council system of governance.

   
Built on August 2000:The Vera H. Hackman Apartment complex was opened in Fall 2000. This three story structure consists of 23 quad occupancy apartments, each with double bedroom, full kitchen and baths, furnished living and dining rooms and laundry facilities.
