Weddings At Elizabethtown College

The beauty of Leffler Chapel and the surrounding campus make Elizabethtown College the perfect place to hold a wedding. Many lovely venues are available during the summer and academic year.

Leffler Chapel and Performance Center

Leffler Chapel includes a multi-purpose auditorium with 840 seats that is used for worship services, conferences, weddings, and performances by dance, music, and theatre groups. Classrooms, exhibit areas, rehearsal facilities and the Lyet and McCormick art galleries are also located in Leffler Chapel. Art shows, two major student dramatic productions each year, and guest artists and performers provide a lively mix of entertainment and intellectual stimulation. Leffler Chapel is home to Gretna Music, which is listed by Time Magazine as one of the six best regional music festivals in the United States. In front of Leffler Chapel is Lake Placida, a tranquil area which is a sanctuary for ducks and enjoyed by the campus community as a place to study, play, and relax.

The Young Center

Located by Lake Placida on the campus of Elizabethtown College, the Center includes the Bucher Meetinghouse, offices, a seminar room, and a display area. The Center is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Lake Gazebo

Located in a wooded area near The Young Center, the Lake Gazebo provides the perfect scenic touch for any wedding. The stone paved path leading up to the gazebo and the gazebo itself ensures that the bride and groom are the focal point of the ceremony.

Wedding Receptions

Elizabethtown College wedding reception sites include the “Event Space”, located in the Brossman Commons Student Center (seating for 300), the Susquehanna & Swatara Rooms located in Myer Hall (seating for 300), and the M & M Mars Room located in Leffler Chapel (seating for 75-100).
