Founders Residence
Founders Hall was designed by the architectural firm of Campbell, Rea, Hayes, and Large and completed in 1971. It is dedicated to four founders of the College: S. H. Hertzler, I.N.H. Beahm, Jesse Ziegler, and G.N. Falkenstein. Founders is the largest coed college housing facility, with 316 residents. Founders has four separate, three-story wings with a common living area in each 16-person suite. A two-year renovation of Founders Hall was in 2003.
Myer Residence
The Elizabeth Myer Residence, dedicated in 1957 and named after a teacher of mathematics, education, and English who was an original member of the College faculty who taught from 1900-1924. Myer is a women’s residence with 132 students (about 26 residents per hall).
Ober Residence
Ober Hall was designed by the architect J. Alfred Hamme and built in 1960. It is named after the 4th president of the College, Harold K. Ober. Ober is a coed residence with 200 students. The building is divided into two wings. Each hall of 29 residents has its own lounge, 12 double rooms, and one suite for four.
Royer Residence
The B. Mary Royer Residence was designed by the architect J. Alfred Hamme and dedicated in 1962. Royer is named after a member of the Class of 1921 who served as a missionary to India for over thirty years. Royer is a men’s residence hall with 125 residents and approximately 20 residents per floor.
Schlosser Residence
Schlosser Hall was designed by the architect J. Alfred Hamme and dedicated in 1966. It is named for Ralph W. Schlosser, English professor and 6th president of the College. Schlosser is the largest women’s residence hall on campus, housing 205 students (about 41 residents per floor).
Vera Hackman Apartments
Completed in 2002 the Hackman Apartments were named for College alumna, longtime Dean of Women and Professor of Journalism and English Vera R. Hackman '25.
The Hackman Apartments has three floors and currently houses 92 upper class students and one staff member. The 24-unit apartment complex is located between Founders Residence Hall and the Schreiber Quadrangle Apartments.
Senior Quad
V. Lester Schreiber Senior Townhouse Quadrangle, known as the Senior Quad or "the Quads," was completed in 1992, and named after a former trustee of the College. This residence community offers 128 senior students townhouse apartment living on campus. Each unit features modern appliances, spacious rooms, and accommodations for four students.
