An Elizabethtown College education will prepare you to enter the rapidly changing world of communications.

Areas of Study

As a communications major at Elizabethtown College, you'll lay the groundwork for a career as a professional communicator in both the media/journalism and corporate worlds.

Campus Media

Elizabethtown College is home to several student-run and community-based campus media outlets.

Comm in Motion Program

e-town and high school students in front of mobile production truckComm in Motion, an educational outreach program sponsored by The Department of Communications, takes Elizabethtown College communication majors into local high school classrooms.

Participating classes can take part in a tour and demonstration of the College's mobile production studio, as well have Elizabethtown College students give tips on broadcasting and answer questions about careers in communications and college life.

The program’s content can be customized to fit the needs of the individual class. For example, during a Comm in Motion visit to Warwick High School, E-town students watched the high school's morning announcement show and then provided feedback.

Comm in Motion, partially funded through a grant from the Pennsylvania Broadcasters Association, is booking high school visits for the remainder of the 2012-2013 academic year.

If you are a high school teacher interested in the program, contact Dr. Kelly Poniatowski at 717-361-1371 or poniatowskik@etown.edu.
