E-town has helped change me as a person by allowing me to clearly identify what my passions are and helping apply them to areas that I did not think were possible.
When Luke was considering Elizabethtown, Luke was uncertain about whether or not he wanted to follow in his brother’s footsteps. Also, he was unsure where his interests in music and photography could take him. However, Luke quickly found himself impressed by the integration of many forms of media, including photography, in the courses available through the Department of Communications when weighing his options for his collegiate education.
Outside of the classroom, Luke gains unparalleled education through his extracurricular involvements. He enjoys working as the Photography Editor for The Etownian and on the radio as a student DJ for WWEC 88.3. The Communications Department has opened Luke’s eyes to various career paths that will allow him to live out his love for photography and music in the corporate world.
The hands-on learning experience that Luke has been given at E‑town has evolved his skillset. His diverse education will permit him to serve in many media positions. Luke is grateful that the Communications Department has shown him how he can live out his passion in his future career. They say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” He is eager for the future.
