Psi Chi – National Honor Society in Psychology
Psi Chi is a national honor society for college and university students involved in psychology. Membership in the honor society is extended to students have a 3.0 or better GPA in their psychology coursework and who have taken at least three courses in psychology. Established in May 1977, the Elizabethtown College chapter works to bring opportunities to psychology students through bringing speakers to campus as well as providing professional exposure to its students. In addition, Psi Chi sponsors scholarships that members are eligible to apply for.
The Psychology Club, along with Psi Chi, invites guest speakers to campus, sponsors field trips to professional meetings and lectures to provide professional exposure, and provides a social group for informal exchange of ideas about psychology. This student-run organization aims to provide resources for club members to succeed in the field of psychology. For information on the Psychology Club, you can contact Dr. T. Evan Smith.
