'Marketing and Consulting in a Global Village' Oct. 17 at Bowers Writers House
Today’s business world is an ever-changing model of dynamic industry, sophisticated relationships and brutal competition. As managing director of Satori Consulting, Charles Harkless understands these unique challenges. He will speak at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Bowers Writers House on “Marketing and Consulting in a Global Village.”
At this event sponsored by Bowers Writers House and the Business Department, Harkless will discuss how his company addresses current trends in marketing and consulting, and how writing plays an integral part in his company’s success. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and operations research from Princeton University. He is co-founder and managing director at Satori Consulting, a management consultancy formed in 2002 to provide highly differentiated strategy execution and organization effectiveness services.
Harkless has deep expertise helping clients to define and realize strategic opportunities and to establish and provide leadership for critical initiatives. He has worked as a management consultant for more than 20 years, with significant experience in the financial services, telecommunications, and high tech sectors. Since founding Satori, he has been actively involved helping clients’ technology, operations, human resources, finance, risk, business continuity, and compliance organizations to increase governance and operational capacity and broaden the span of their controls across the enterprise.
Prior to founding Satori, Harkless was a partner in Accenture’s Communications and High Tech practice, where he worked for many years structuring and managing consumer marketing and network transformation initiatives at key clients, including AT&T and Verizon. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Trinity School and West Side Montessori School in New York.
