Elizabethtown College performs American Family Christmas concert Dec. 11

Multiple choirs, a quartet and jazz artists representing the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Elizabethtown College perform traditional holiday music, under the direction of Matthew Fritz, associate professor of music, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. In addition to lively holiday music, the concert includes visits from special characters for the children and perhaps even a sighting of the big man himself...Santa!

The afternoon concert features the College-Community Chorus, Women's Choir, Camerata, Concert Choir, Arioso Flute Choir, the Sax Quartet and the Jazz Band. Works to be performed include movements from Missa O Rex Gloriae by Palestrina, selections from Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, traditional Christmas carols and other holiday favorites.

Tickets for the concert are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children 10 and under. To reserve tickets, contact Matthew Fritz by calling 717-361-1112.  Tickets also may be purchased at the door.  A campus map is available at
