Symphonic Band performs at Elizabethtown College

April concert features premiere performance of student composition

Symphonic Band concertThe Fine and Performing Arts Department, Music Division, at Elizabethtown College hosts the spring Symphonic Band Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center's Musser Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The 55-member ensemble, directed by Dr. Robert Spence, performs works by Robert Sheldon, Howard Hanson, Tsutomu Tajima, Frank Ticheli, Jaime Texidor and Paul Hindemith.

Featured on the program is a concert band premier by composer Tanna Leigh Gibble '12, plus musical selections under the baton of guest conductors Dr. Kevin Shorner-Johnson and Amber Farah '12.
