Saxophones in the spotlight during spring concert

Elizabethtown College sax students perform April 12

Saxophonium at E-townThe Elizabethtown College Saxophonium, a concert featuring saxophone students of Faith Shiffer, adjunct instructor of saxophone and clarinet, as well as a professional sax quartet, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in Gibble Auditorium in the College's Esbenshade Hall.

The performers -- a trio, a quartet and a sextet -- present works by jazz musicians Paul Desmond and Lennie Niehaus. The ensembles also perform Beethoven, Debussy and Mozart.

The concert, sponsored by the College's Department of Fine and Performing Arts, Music Division is free and open to the public.
