Tag the 'Town: Elizabethtown honors donors
If you wander across Elizabethtown College from April 22 to 26, don’t be concerned, it isn’t for sale. The tags you will see don’t designate prices, but rather the College’s appreciation for the many donors who have made it possible for the College to continue to serve students.
During the first ever Tag the ’Town event, tags reading “An E-town donor DID this for You” and “Thank you E-town donors” will be placed around campus marking everything that has been made possible through donations from alumni, families, friends, faculty, staff, foundations, corporations and many others. More than 200 tags will be displayed in or on buildings, equipment, classrooms and offices. Even the campus clock from the Class of 2005 and the Blue Jay mascot will be tagged to recognize the donors who made their purchase possible.
"Tag the 'Town is a unique and fun way to educate our campus and local communities about the ways which donor support helps bring growth to E-town,” said Melody Bitkoff, director of annual giving. “We're so grateful for the continued generosity and commitment of our donors and this project provides the perfect opportunity to show them, in a tangible way, how much we appreciate all that they do."
During the week of April 22-26, a video showcasing all the tags and items will be created and shared with the campus and local communities.
