Liberal Arts Residence LLC

The Liberal Arts Residence (LAR) is for students interested in pursuing a Liberal Arts major/minor or students with an interest in the liberal arts.  LAR seeks to create a supportive community for students in those disciplines as well as provide a living environment that will allow an opportunity for further faculty and student interaction via field trips, service projects, events, family dinners, discussions, and lecturers that focus on ways these disciplines can further enrich one's life and career.

This LLC gives students the opportunity to be a part of regular faculty lectures and discussions in the residence hall through the Fantabulous Fridays and Alpha Achievers series. It also provides leadership opportunities for students on the Liberal Arts Residence Coordination Council (LARCC) which assists in coordinating events and other aspects of the LAR community.

Liberal Arts fields include the following: Art History, Studio Art, History, Political Science, International Studies, Philosophy, English, Music, Theater, Anthropology, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, Psychology, any Modern Language, Religion, Fine Arts, Anabaptist and Pietist Studies, and Peace and Conflict Studies.
