Founded in 1899, Elizabethtown College is a selective private, residential co-ed college of 1900 students pursuing degrees in liberal arts, fine and performing arts, science and engineering, business, communications and education. Located on 200 acres in southern Pennsylvania, the campus is near Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Philadelphia, rich with cultural, athletic, community and social opportunities


The hallmarks of an Elizabethtown education are academic rigor, high expectations and excellence. Students grow and develop a distinct global awareness through campus events and programs, the Center for Global Citizenship, the Ware Series on Peacemaking and Social Justice and a popular Study Abroad program.

Faculty members are distinguished as teacher-scholars, who pursue their academic areas of expertise and share that expertise with students.  Elizabethtown College students are challenged and supported by engaging faculty and participate in experiential learning through research, internships and off-campus study. We encourage students to learn through relationships, immerse yourself in campus life, including over 80 clubs, student organizations and campus activities.  Elizabethtown College is a member of the NCAA Division III athletics with 20 competitive teams. The College has many outstanding alumni serving the world in many ways and a rich legacy of value-based education since its founding in 1899.
