Music Preparatory division
Music Instruction for All Ages
The Preparatory Division at Elizabethtown College offers music instruction to students of all ages. Instruction is available for community members as well as all members of the Elizabethtown College community.
Private instruction is available on most instruments. Students receive 13 half-hour lessons taught in conjunction with the College semester, and are invited to participate in a voluntary recital at the end of each term to showcase their progress.

Instructor Levels
When registering, you may choose your preferred instructor level:
- Student Teacher — A qualified Elizabethtown College music major or minor, approved by the applied lesson faculty member.
- Instructor — A recent Elizabethtown College graduate who has taught in the Preparatory Division as a student teacher.
- Adjunct Faculty — A part-time Elizabethtown College faculty member.
- College Faculty — A full-time Elizabethtown College faculty member.
