Note Takers:Qualifications
In order to take good notes, note takers must come to class prepared, having completed all assigned readings pertaining to the lecture. Taking notes should be your top priority, attending to side conversations or your cell phone will make you less able to take good notes. Think of it as taking the seat by the emergency door on an airplane: if you’re going to sit there, be prepared to do the job. Please read the specific qualifications below:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Legible handwriting, good grammar and spelling or notes taken on lap top with spelling/ grammar check before submitting to Disability Services
- Regular class attendance and willingness to commit for the semester
- Ability to maintain confidentiality if the student for whom you are taking notes self-identifies
- Ability to submit notes to Disability Services within 24 hours of the lecture
