Cable Television
All academic buildings and residence halls are wired for cable television. The cable system provides high quality fiber optic transmission of the Comcast cable line-up.
Cable Boxes
Each television on campus requires a Digital Transport Adapter (DTA) to access the standard Comcast cable package. This package includes the most common television stations including affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS. It also includes cable channels like CNN, Discovery, and ESPN and educational content including CSPAN and the college’s own channel, ECTV-40.
The DTAs are available for free on campus. There is already one DTA installed in each residence hall room. If there are problems with the DTA or need an additional unit, students should contact Community Living at x1197. Faculty and Staff should contact the ITS Help Desk at x3333.
Premium Services
Additional premium channel packages, digital on-demand services, and pay-per-view programming are available at an additional cost. These services can be contracted directly with Comcast. All contracts and billing for these services will be directly between Comcast and the student. Elizabethtown College assumes no responsibility for any premium services ordered by students.
