Transfer Students Enrolling in the Traditional College
Elizabethtown College welcomes transfer students from many different institutions at all academic career levels into a variety of major programs. An early inquiry about the transfer process can help you to maximize your educational experience.
Prospective transfer students will want to talk with the Admissions Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) and complete an Admissions Application. As part of the application process, official transcripts from each previously attended institution must be sent to the Admissions Office. Upon acceptance, a prospective transfer student will receive written notification specifying which courses/credits will be accepted by Elizabethtown College and how these courses apply to an intended Major, Minor or Core program.

As soon as the matriculation deposit is received by the College, a letter is sent to the student describing their transition to the College. The Transfer Student Advisor from the Center for Student Success will contact the student to discuss academic advising and the registration process. Students need to meet with the Transfer Student Advisor (in person, by email or phone) to discuss appropriate courses for the student's first semester at Elizabethtown. The Transfer Student Advisor will build the schedule with the student and register them for classes. An advisor from the academic department of the student's major will be assigned during the second week of the semester (after the add/drop period of registration).
