Maureen Brown

Maureen has dedicated her career to helping students and alums sharpen their professional skills and connect with employers. She provides a strategic vision to create a campus environment that engages students and alums in career exploration and professional development.

Maureen is an adjunct in Elizabethtown College's School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS), teaching various courses in Human Services. In addition to her work for Elizabethtown College, Maureen adjuncts in the Master's in Counselor Education (MEd) program at Widener University, teaching Career Counseling Across the LifeSpan. She has also co-written and published "A Program for Embedding Career Activities in Multiple Core Business Courses" in The International Journal of Management Education.

Maureen received her M.S. from West Chester University in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs. Maureen holds three certifications: Certified Career Counselor (CCC), Myers-Briggs (MBTI) Certification, and Strong Interest Inventory Certification. Maureen has received two Presidential Citations (2022, 2023) from the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE) for her work with the organization. She is currently serving EACE as a co-chair for their 2025 Annual Conference. As an undergraduate, Maureen studied Political Science and Paralegal Studies at Kutztown University.

Carolyn Rigo

Carolyn focuses her efforts on supporting students in career exploration. One of her favorite parts of this work is helping students break down the career planning process into manageable steps to get excited about their future and the skills they bring to the table! Her personal career journey has taken her to the University of Pittsburgh working as an academic advisor, and to James Madison University working in Career Development.

Carolyn received her M.S. from Shippensburg University in Counseling and College Student Personnel. Carolyn also holds a certification in the Strong Interest Inventory. As an undergraduate, Carolyn studied Psychology at Shippensburg University.

Lauren Allen

Lauren is passionate about holistic development, experiential learning, and inclusive excellence. She believes that meaningful experiences—both in and out of the classroom—are essential to student growth.

In her previous role as the Experiential Learning Coordinator in Elizabethtown College’s School of Business, Lauren supported students in securing internships that prepared them to thrive in a dynamic global workforce. She also taught a first-year course focused on communication and career readiness, helping students build confidence, explore career paths, and develop essential professional skills.

Even before joining this community, Lauren felt a strong connection to the college’s mission of “educating for service.” She brings that same spirit to her current role in the Career Development Center, where she is excited to serve as a collaborative resource and guide for students throughout their college journey.

Lauren holds an M.A. in Higher Education from Messiah University and is a Certified Career Services Provider. She is energized by helping students uncover their potential and take purposeful steps toward their futures through career exploration.

Madisyn Musselman

Student Worker

Madisyn Musselman is a sophomore majoring in Mathematical Business, with minors in Finance and Data Analytics. She is actively involved in the Women in STEM and Our Bodies clubs on campus. In her free time, Madisyn enjoys watching and playing volleyball. Her favorite part of the job is helping students build confidence in their professional skills.

Madelyn Nicholas

Student Worker

Madelyn is a first-year Occupational Therapy major with minors in Spanish and Psychology. When not working at the Career Development Center, Madelyn is involved with the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) or she can be found on campus reading a fiction novel. Madelyn’s favorite part about working at the Career Development Center is the environment in the office and working with the staff.
