Fall New Student Orientation
Starting with check-in day, we welcome new students to campus as they begin their Blue Jay journey. Many Etown traditions are a part of August New Student Orientation, including the Induction Ceremony and Blue Jay Walk. Peer Mentors guide students through this information-filled and fun weekend as we strive to create a home away from home where every student belongs and thrives.

Induction Ceremony
August Orientation begins with our Induction Ceremony in Leffler Chapel. The Induction Ceremony is a beloved tradition at Etown where we induct our new students into the Etown student body. This event is live streamed for families to watch. There is limited seating available on the second floor for families who wish to attend the event.
New Student Orientation
August New Student Orientation occurs the weekend before classes begin, and it is a time where students learn information about the college community, our policies and resources, and explore the campus and the local community. Peer Mentors guide students through these days while helping to make connections. New Student Orientation is a thoughtful combination of required information and social events that are planned to help students get to know their peers and start their time at Etown with new connections. All new students (including first-years and new transfer students) are encouraged to participate in all of New Student Orientation; some sessions are mandatory.
