Convocation

Convocation will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 4:00 p.m. in the Dell (in case of inclement weather, it will be held in Leffler Chapel Auditorium).  Convocation is the annual official opening ceremony for students for the academic year recognizing first-year students, faculty who are serving their first year as tenured faculty and/or promoted and college/emerging scholars. 

Faculty to be Recognized for the 2011-2012 academic year:

Dr. Gene Behrens, Promoted to Professor of Music in the Fine and Performing Arts Department

Dr. Bogdan Doytchinov, Tenured and Promoted to Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Mathematics Department

Dr. Bryan Greenberg, Tenured and Promoted to Associate Professor of Marketing in the Business Department

Dr. Kirsten Johnson, Tenured and Promoted to Associate Professor of Communications in the Communications Department

Dr. Timothy McDevitt, Promoted to Professor of Mathematics in the Mathematical Sciences Department

Dr. Brian Newsome, Promoted to Associate Professor in History in the History Department

Dr. T. Evan Smith, Tenured and Promoted to Associate Professor of Psychology in the Psychology Department
