Harford Community College Biotechnology Transfer Guide

Harford Community College (HCC) and Elizabethtown College offer a dedicated 2+2 pathway connecting HCC's Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology (A.A.S.) program to Elizabethtown College's Biotechnology B.S. program. HCC students complete their first two years at HCC and their final two years at Elizabethtown College, earning both degrees along the way.

2+2 Transfer Pathway Program

Harford Community College students spend their first two years at HCC and their last two years at Elizabethtown College, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology (A.A.S) from HCC and, upon completion of all Etown degree requirements, a B.S. in Biotechnology from Elizabethtown College in as few as four years.

Elizabethtown College guarantees admission for a minimum of 10 HCC students annually into its Biotechnology program via this 2+2 pathway, provided they:

  • Successfully complete the requirements of HCC's Associate of Applied Science degree in Biotechnology.
  • Possess an incoming GPA of 3.0 or higher.
