Elizabethtown College baseball has compiled exactly 1,110 wins in its illustrious 79- season history, which dates back to 1930. Regular season success and postseason appear-ances have been plentiful for the Blue Jays, as they’ve qualifed for postseason play 13 straight seasons through 2011.

Five of the nine coaches in program history have ushered Elizabethtown to at least one confer-ence championship. Though there is a winning legacy within the program, it has jumped to a new level in the last decade plus. The Blue Jays have been to every conference tournament since 2000, winning titles in 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2009. Included in that impressive run are fve trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Overall, the Jays have been to 20 confer-ence tournaments and 10 NCAA Tournaments in program history.

Current head coach Cliff Smith is one of fve men to lead the Blue Jays to over 100 wins during his tenure. A free agent signee of the Los Angeles An-gels of Anaheim in 2001, Smith can relate closely to his players, having played at the collegiate and professional levels.

Speaking of professionals, nine former Elizabeth-town players have been selected in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft since it was frst held in 1965.

The baseball program also boasts one of the nic-est Division III facilities in the region. The Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium features a three-section seat-ing area behind home plate, on-site bathrooms, a press box, dugouts, a full scoreboard in right feld and a batting cage.
