Prior to coming to Elizabethtown, Wendy was the Community Outreach Director with Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Cumberland County. While at the PA Farm Bureau, her main responsibilities included providing educational programming about PA agriculture and coordinating the Ag in the Classroom Institute. Previously, she was the Project Coordinator with Penn State’s Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science, a 4-H Youth Development Educator with Penn State Cooperative Extension and an elementary classroom teacher.
Currently, Wendy is completing her Graduate work in Science Education at Lebanon Valley College. Also, she is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University Rural Leadership Program (RULE) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Millersville University, where she won the Anna E. Beyer Award for Outstanding Performance in Student Teaching. Wendy is a Key Leader for the Building a Presence for Science program, and a professional development facilitator for various science-related curricula.
