Media analytics is one of the fastest growing segments of communications, with a predicted growth rate of 28% by 2024. These skills are in high demand as businesses strive to use their customer data more effectively and engage with their audiences in authentic and meaningful ways.

Our Media Analytics and Social Media courses give you the opportunity to tailor your degree program to suit your interests. Most are focused on either Communications or Computer Science, with courses from our Business and Math departments also an option. Some of the classes we offer include:

Throughout the course, you will learn how to use analytical tools such as Google Analytics to assess real data and digital advertising platforms like Google Ads to create targeted and customized messages that are a good fit for your audience. You will learn about data visualization and how to present this information to clients and key business stakeholders. You will also have first-hand experience in effectively monitoring social media channels and creating appropriate content through forecasting and measuring tools, along with using advanced digital marketing techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance the experience of customers to a website.
All Communications students are required to take our capstone course to demonstrate your new skills and put them into practice. We also encourage our students to participate in one or more of our student-run organizations, as well as completing internships throughout your time at E-town. Our students have interned at:
