The Well
The Well is staffed with knowledgeable students, known as the Student Wellness Advocacy Group (SWAG). They can help to answer questions, provide information about your overall health and well-being, or point you in the right direction to other on-campus resources. The Well is located on the second level of The Bowers Centers for Sports, Fitness & Well-Being.

The Well hosts numerous health and well-being events throughout the year that students can participate in. Students can also visit The Well during hours of operation to relax, unwind and unplug!
Human Touch Massage Chairs
Now available right inside The Well are (2) Human Touch Novo XT PRO+ Massage Chairs! With its sleek design and advanced performance, the Human Touch Novo XT PRO+ delivers a deeply therapeutic massage experience designed to support both pre-workout preparation and post-workout recovery. Its innovative S- and L-Track system provides targeted massage coverage from your neck and shoulders down through your back, glutes, and thighs for full-body relaxation.
Massage Chair Policies
The massage chairs are available on a first come, first serve basis during The Well’s open hours. The Student Wellness Advocate (SWAG) will be available to answer questions and ensure the following guidelines are followed:
- To use the massage chairs, individuals must use their Etown ID card to “check out” the chair with the SWAG at the Well Reception Desk. Upon completion, you need to “check back in” with the SWAGs.
- No eating or drinking while using the massage chairs.
- Use of the chair is on a first come first served basis.
- A maximum of 30 minutes is permitted per use.
- The last use of the chair must start at least 30 minutes before The Well closes.
- Only one person in a massage chair at a time.
- Weight limit: 265 lbs.
- Refrain from using the chair if you are actively sweating or are wearing wet clothing.
- Individuals who do not adhere to these guidelines may no longer be permitted to use the massage chair.
Massage Chair Disclaimer
Use of the massage chairs is voluntary and at your own risk. Individuals with chronic health conditions, injuries, pregnancy, or medical concerns should consult a physician prior to use and may not be appropriate candidates for massage chair use. By using the chair, you assume all risks and release Elizabethtown College from any liability related to its use.
