As part of the vibrant religious life on campus, we host regular events that help to create an atmosphere for spiritual growth and engaging conversation. Chat with friends around a fireplace or unwind and release with yoga. For an up-to-date list of campus events and more information, check out our Arts and Culture Calendar.
Campus Worship: Sundays at 5:30 p.m.
Campus Worship (and interdenominational service) (Leffler Performance Room)
A student-led worship service that explores a unique theme chosen by the students each semester. Preachers consist of guest speakers from neighboring congregations, students, and Chaplain’s Office staff. The congregation of close knit students accompany each other for a time of fellowship and dinner in the Marketplace immediately after the conclusion of worship.
Sacred Time: Tuesdays at 12:15pm and Wednesdays at 1pm
Need some quiet, but can't do it for long? Come in for 5 minutes of silence in the Sacred Space (BSC 252) just to be. We have a bell timer that will alert you when 5 minutes has passed, slowly and kindly. Please remove shoes before coming in, and be kind to those around you who are also practicing. You may leave your things outside the door.
Fake Fireplace, Real Conversation: Thursdays from 7:30-10pm
Fake Fireplace, Real Conversation (Library, Main Floor by the movie section)
Looking for a study break? Located on the main floor of the High Library, Fake Fireplace, Real Conversation gets students engaged in compelling conversations based on weekly student chosen topics over hot coffee and tea.
