Dr. Tara Moore directs the Graphic Design program at Elizabethtown College and teaches Graphic Design II. She has experience with book publishing, serving nonprofit organizations, and connecting students to real world design experiences.

Exploration, quiet reflection, and response are critical to my artistic process. Through this process, I create images that are representations of my journey. My work has become an autobiography.

Artist Statement
This series of work is an ongoing exploration of places that I have visited while working in New York City, Philadelphia, and throughout the Northeast.
Artist Statement
Handicraft materials that evoke feelings of relaxation, safety, comfort, and play are taken apart, reconfigured and glued onto the base of a collagraph printmaking matrix. The use of these overlooked domestic materials as the foundational element of the work represents an invisible support system created by unseen female caretakers. Pattern and color is then hand printed in layers from these plates, using intuition and experimentation. The essence of the bright and comforting pieces give an underlining reassuring structure of hope in a time of uncertainty. Through moving forward through the steps of making, the calmness found in feeling safe to trust the process is revealed in the finished pieces.

Artist Statement
My creative practice moves between the screen and the studio, with digital media and ceramics each offering unique ways to explore form, expression, and connection. I value the immediacy and flexibility of digital tools, especially in how they open up new possibilities for experimentation and storytelling. At the same time, working with clay grounds me, its physicality and unpredictability deepen my understanding of process and presence.

Dr. Lisa Erdman is an artist, educator, and researcher. At Etown College, Dr. Erdman teaches within the Medical Humanities and the Graphic Design programs. Through satire and corporate parody, her visual art and performances explore the mechanisms that shape personal identity and one’s relationship to medical authority. In her recent research, Dr. Erdman used theater improvisation with medical students at Penn State College of Medicine to explore the impact of everyday objects in patient-clinician communication.
Dr. Erdman holds a Doctor of Arts from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, and a Bachelor of Science in Dance, Interarts & Technology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Lisa currently resides in the greater Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Erdman's research and art productions have received numerous awards. These include a grant from the Arts Council of Finland, a Special Jury Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival, and an award from the Washington D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, for her poem entitled, Café con Léche which explores her Dominican-American identity.

Erica Dolson oversees the internship requirement for Graphic Design students, ensuring they receive professional support as they complete this integral component of their pre career portfolios. She collaborates with Elizabethtown College’s Career Development Center to guide students through the transition from undergraduate study to early professional practice. Students secure internships in on campus design roles as well as with local businesses and nonprofit organizations in Elizabethtown, Lancaster, and Harrisburg, and may also pursue remote opportunities through their own professional networks.

- A.S. in Telecommunications from Delaware Tech and Community College
Andy is an Emmy-nominated press photographer and has over 20 years of broadcast news experience. Most recently he was employed by WGAL-TV, an NBC affiliate in Lancaster, as a photographer covering central PA. Andy manages Etown’s student media including the student-run television (ECTV) and radio station (WWEC). He also works closely with student media board members. He is responsible for the vast inventory of technology within the Communications program, as well as securing the latest updates for best student experience. Andy collaborates with students and faculty on projects both inside and outside the classroom.
