Mentoring Programs

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Center for Community and Civic Engagement Mentoring Programs is to foster opportunities for the creation of meaningful relationships between high school and Elizabethtown College students to promote academic achievement, emotional and social development, and contributions to oneself and the community.

The Moving Forward Together program is designed to pair Elizabethtown College freshmen with high school 9th graders. These mentors and mentees stay together in the program until graduation, so this is a 4 year commitment. The PA Migrant Education program (College Bound) works with 10th and 11th graders in mentoring groups. This program is a one semester commitment, but can be repeated several semesters with different mentees.
