ENGin is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers Ukrainian students free 1-on-1 language practice and cross-cultural exchange by connecting them with English-speaking volunteers. ENGin is looking for volunteers to serve as speaking buddies for Ukrainian students. This is a super-flexible and unique opportunity to make a difference without leaving your room. Plus, you'll get to know peers across the world!
Here's how it works: we will pair you up with a Ukrainian student to video chat each week at times that are convenient for you. We match students and volunteers based on age, gender preference, and schedules. All of our students have some knowledge of English and we will provide you with training and suggested session activities. Your speaking sessions can be 30-60 minutes long. To join our team, please fill out this short form: Volunteer Application .
Once we receive it, we will reach out to schedule a 15-minute video call to provide more details about volunteering with ENGin and answer any questions. If you have any questions before signing up, please contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org . More information on our volunteer program and how to get started can be found here .

Angel Tree Signup:
The Center for Community and Civic Engagement and Senate will once again be sponsoring the Angel Tree Project. This will look a little different this year but will still be providing gifts for those in our surrounding community to brighten their Christmas season. Typically we only provide gifts to children, but this year during these challenging times, ECHOS has provided a list of adult needs as well. There will be no tabling this year, if you are interested in participating, please visit the below link to pick a name. To eliminate the need to leave campus, feel free to shop online and senate will provide the gift wrapping. Drop the gifts off at the Senate office. If you are a remote student and want to participate, you can mail a gift card to the Center for Community and Civic Engagement. More info will be coming soon.
