Memorial Gifts
A gift that honors the memory of a friend, family member or another who has made an important difference is a wonderful way to memorialize the impact that person had in your life.
There are many ways to honor the memory of a loved one. Some have chosen to establish an endowed scholarship, others have endowed lectureships and speaker series and others have created tribute gardens. The majority, though, simply remember a loved one with a gift made to the Annual Fund in that person's memory or honor.
All of these gifts are a wonderful way to respect the passing of an important individual, and perhaps even create a lasting memorial. At Elizabethtown College, we are honored to be chosen for this special type of gift and will work with you to steward your friendship and philanthropy.
Designating Memorial Gifts
At the time of death, families may want to suggest in the obituary that donations be sent to Elizabethtown College using language such as this: "In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Elizabethtown College, 1 Alpha Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022." We will acknowledge all gifts and periodically provide the family with a list of names and addresses of those who have made memorial gifts.
