Student Wellness

The Office of Student Wellness provides services and programs to foster the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being and development of students in order to facilitate student’s personal, social, and academic success. Our staff is committed to meeting the needs of people of diverse racial, ethnic and national backgrounds, gender, sexual/affectional orientations, mental and physical abilities, religious/spiritual beliefs, and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as other types of diversity. Student Wellness is comprised of three collaborative service areas (Counseling Services, Student Health, and Health Promotion) and uses a team and holistic approach to helping students.

Student Wellness staff values diversity, and stands against hatred, bigotry, oppression and violence.

Student Wellness staff is deeply saddened by the horrific violence in Pittsburgh on October 27, 2018. We extend our support to all people impacted by the tragedy, to the Jewish community, and to other underrepresented groups that could be at-risk for experiencing hate crimes.

Counseling Services is available to talk with students through both scheduled appointments and urgent walk-in services during our office hours (BSC 216, phone = 717-361-1405), and through our 24/7 after-hours on-call system (717-361-1111).
