The mission of The Writing Wing is to help all students learn about and to improve their writing.
Yes, Elizabethtown College students learn about writing in a variety of classes, but under the guidance of Writing Wing tutors, who are friendly and trained, fledgling student writers learn to soar. Many Writing Wing tutors are education or English majors, but there are also some from other majors.
The Writing Wing is devoted to all aspects of writing, a chain of events frequently called the writing process. It's not simply a proofreading service; instead, it's a learning service aimed at helping students become better writers.
We help students by offering hour-long sessions with student tutors who are trained and updated on their skills by a faculty member who teaches writing at Elizabethtown, and who is also a professional writer.
We're nurturing and flexible. We welcome students to The Writing Wing by appointment or on a walk-in basis. This flexibility allows scheduled one-on-one sessions between students and writing tutors to be held in a relaxed atmosphere or stop in during no-appointment-needed walk-in hours.
The personal attention writing tutors offer students in The Writing Wing is the best way to provide effective, efficient, and memorable service.
To learn more about The Writing Wing, feel free to explore our Website or to stop by and see us, either for an appointment or just to say hi and to check out our digs in the Learning Zone, second floor in Baugher Student Center.
