Programs Offered
The Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center is the host for several graduate degree courses offered through Bethany Theological Seminary. SVMC also offers certificate courses and continuing education programs for persons interested in ministry leadership.
Seminary Program
Graduate level courses leading to a Master of Divinity degree, Master of Arts, or Certificate of Achievement in Theological Studies are offered through Bethany Theological Seminary. Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center acts as host for several of these courses. Students must hold a B.A. or B.S. degree from a recognized college or university. Such courses are also open to TRIM students who are working on completion of their program and may be audited by clergy for Continuing Education Units.
TRIM (TRaining In Ministry)
TRIM is a certificate-level program for Brethren Ministry that requires students to have some college background. It is administered by the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership, a partnership of Bethany Theological Seminary and the Church of the Brethren General Board. SVMC provides several TRIM-level courses each year either in the Northeast region or online. Tuition is $295.00 per course. Courses are open to TRIM, EFSM, and ACTS students, as well as to ordained pastors and lay persons.
ACTS (Academy Certified Training System)
ACTS is a certificate program for Church of the Brethren ministry, granted under the auspices of the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership. It is open to licensed ministers seeking to complete requirements for ordination, as well as lay persons seeking leadership training and ordained ministers pursuing continuing education. Certificate courses are offered in the five partnering districts of Atlantic Northeast, Middle Pennsylvania, Southern Pennsylvania, Western Pennsylvania and Mid-Atlantic. Tuition is $225.00 per course ($240 beginning in 2019); $75.00 for auditors.

Our continuing education program offers training for pastors and lay leaders through seminars, workshops, and multiple-day events.
