Michelle Henry

Michelle advises students on their academic and career goals, providing integrative and developmental support. She works with students who are exploring majors to identify their interests, skills, and strengths and collaborates often with the Career Development Center. As the Starfish Coordinator, she was a key member of the team that customized the system for Etown, and plays a crucial role in training, troubleshooting, and communicating important information about Starfish to the campus community. As the Director of the Learning Zone, Michelle oversees Etown’s peer-to-peer tutoring system. She teaches a First-Year Seminar course for exploring students, and a Second-Year Seminar designed to enhance students’ understanding of their strengths and skills and how these can be applied to their collegiate and professional careers.

Eugene Thomas

Eugene “Gene” Thomas joins us as the Assistant Director of the Learning Zone. Gene formerly was an Area Coordinator for Community Living here at Elizabethtown. Before coming to Elizabethtown, Gene taught middle school and high school Social Studies for the School District of Philadelphia. Gene holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Millersville University and a Master’s in Transformative Education and Social Change from West Chester University.
